  • Day 1: Arrival day

    Our driver and guide will pick you up from airport and transfer you to the hotel.

  • Day 2: Ulaanbaatar – Gobi – Flaming Cliffs

    Our driver will pick you up from the hotel and take you to the airport, where you will fly to the Dalanzadgad airport in Umno-Gobi Province. Here the adventure begins. Then we drive to Bayanzag or Flaming Cliffs. This is the place where the first Protoceratops’s skull and rapacious Velociraptor and phytophagous Protoceratops' fighting fossils were found in 1972. A nest of 15 infant Protoceratops fossils were found here and it is still a very important discovery of the paleontology community. Here we will learn how to distinguish a fossil from fossil looking Gobi stones. Arrive at the Ger camp accommodations, including a restaurant, showers and other facilities. We will have a lunch here. In the afternoon we will walk around the Flaming Cliffs and visit the Saxaul Tree forest. The flaming cliffs of Bayan Zag are a sightseeing destination of their own and provide a spectacular opportunity to view the amazing beauty of the Gobi Desert.

  • Day 3: Nomadic family

    After breakfast we will drive west to Amaraa’s family. On the way, we will look at one of the ancient rock art sites in Mongolia. After lunch with family we will visit Buyan Monk’s Meditation monastery. The monastery was restored recently by the initiative of grandson of the famous monk used to live and meditated here. We will hear beautiful stories about how local people worship and support the monastery and restoring of it. With family we learn nomadic lifestyle and traditions. You can experience herding sheep and milking goat. You will appreciate the exciting experience of the authentic nomadic life style as a family. In the evening we will watch the cultural presentation prepared by the local nomads who live in nearby.

  • Day 4: Khongor Sand Dunes

    After having a farewell with the family we will drive to the Khongor Sand Dunes. Once we check-in our ger camp we will travel about 2km to the sand dunes. We will hike to the top of the 195m sand dune. This sand hill is called “Singing dunes” by locals. We will hear the sound from the sands and learn why it is called “Singing dunes”. After dinner we will ride a camel for an hour.

  • Day 5: Yol Canyon

    After breakfast we will drive to Yol Canyon. At the site we’ll hike for 1 km and visit the local museum. Yol Canyon is a deep and narrow gorge in the Gurvan Saikhan Mountains of southern Mongolia. The valley is named after the Bearded vulture or Lammergeier vulture, which is called Yol in Mongolian. The translation of Lammergeier valley is - Valley of the Vultures or Valley of the Eagles.

  • Day 6: Ulaanbaatar

    After breakfast we will drive to Dalanzadgad and fly back to Ulaanbaatar and transfer to the hotel. In the afternoon we will go shopping and watch a traditional Mongolian concert. Afterward we will have a farewell dinner in a restaurant in down town.

  • Day 7: Departure day

    After you check out of your hotel, we will transfer you to the airport for departure.
